Short-term cover available for impounded car insurance
Most insurance policies will only cover you for 28 days as a minimum as this is often a requirement in order to get your car out of impound. Whilst you might already have a policy in place, you might find that your current policy doesn’t allow you the cover that you need to release your vehicle. That’s why we offer 24-hour impound insurance, which covers you for the journey from the tow yard back home.
And if your insurance has been cancelled and you’re struggling to get an annual insurance policy because of a conviction? Contact us and we’d be happy to help. We offer convicted car insurance for those coming back from a ban or motoring conviction.

Company Car NCB
Company Car No Claims Bonus
Many insurers are unwilling to accept bonuses earned in company cars on private car policies, which can leave drivers unfairly paying over the odds for insurance, despite their many years of claim-free driving.
At Adrian Flux, we work with insurance companies that accept company car no claims bonus to help you get a fair deal on your private car insurance.
Once we receive confirmation from your employer or ex-employer of how many years company car insurance no claims bonus you earned, we can apply an equivalent discount to the insurance quote for your own car.
Excess Protect
Excess Protect
Even though having the right insurance can save you money when you need to claim, your policy excess could still run into hundreds of pounds.
Our excess protect policies will pay your excess for you, up to an annual limit, if you need to make a claim on your policy – saving you money.
The amount of excess you have to pay depends on your policy and can be found on your policy documents. If you opted for a voluntary excess this is an extra amount on top of your compulsory excess, which can bring your premiums down, but is payable on top of your compulsory excess when you make a claim.
We offer excess protect cover at different levels to suit your policy. Speak to a member of our team to find out more and to add it to your policy.

What happens if my car is seized?
Depending on the reason your car was seized, you might have to pay penalty charges, face endorsement points on your licence, go to court, or even face a driving ban.
What will the impact be on my insurance?
All this will likely increase your premiums for years to come, with most insurers and brokers believing that being a risk once makes you a risk forever.
At Adrian Flux, we work a little differently. We understand that one mistake doesn’t automatically make you a criminal. In fact, if your car’s recently been impounded, we think you’re more likely to drive safely so you don’t get in trouble again. We offer insurance for convicted drivers so you can get the cover you need.
What do I need to do to release my seized car?
If your vehicle’s been seized by a police officer, you’ll need to go to the pound within seven working days of the incident. You’ll need to bring the following items in order to recover your vehicle:
- Proof of your identity, such as your driving licence or passport
- Valid certificate of your vehicle insurance
- Proof that you own the vehicle (e.g. your V5C)
- MOT certificate or proof of a recent MOT appointment
- Valid tax information
