What is a no claims bonus?

NCB, or no claims bonus, is a discount offered by insurance companies if you haven’t made a claim during the term of your insurance. This is usually built up annually. In general, the more years you’ve been driving without making a claim, the more your insurance premium comes down.

Most countries have some form of NCB.

I’m an expat returning to the UK and my NCB has expired. Can it still be recognised?

Your NCB is usually only valid for two years, after which it expires. However, we’re one of very few insurance companies that offer expired NCB insurance.

Can I use my UK car insurance to travel to other countries?

All our policies come with 90 days’ EU cover as standard, and we can cover longer trips and other areas of the world too.

Over 82.4% of customers who got an online quote could have saved money if they’d called us instead.

Am I able to get car insurance as a non-UK resident without having built up an NCB?

Yes, we offer car insurance to non-UK residents. We also accept international and EU driving licences.
