What is car transporter or transporter trailer insurance?
If you regularly transport cars, dirt bikes, go-karts, or any other type of vehicle, a transporter trailer can come in handy. Transporter trailer insurance helps cover your trailer against accidental loss, damage, theft or attempted theft.
Although car trailer insurance isn’t a legal requirement, taking out a policy helps prevent costly charges should you be involved in an accident.

Does my car insurance cover towing a transporter trailer?
Car insurance policies usually only offer third party cover for the trailer being towed. This means that you could be left out of pocket if your trailer gets damaged or stolen.
Taking out a separate transporter trailer insurance policy gives you peace of mind. Our cover protects against theft, fire, accidental damage or public liability as standard.
How much is car transporter trailer insurance?
The cost of your transporter trailer insurance depends on several factors, including whether you’ve towed a trailer or caravan before. As a result, it can be difficult to estimate your car trailer insurance costs. If you’d like a quote, get in touch with us.
